Abstract:

The surgical treatment of obstructed defecation syndrome(ODS)should be thoroughly and objectively assessed and the surgical approach should be decided based on the detailed results after the exclusion of contraindications.Currently, PPH-STARR, Contour Transtar and TSTstarr+ are all effective surgical approaches for ODS with the similar efficacy. However, the final decision made by us surgeons should be tailored to the individual’s situations.
