Two cases report of NOSES Jinling procedure in the treatment of refractory constipation

Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of NOSES Jinling procedure in the treatment of refractory constipation.

Methods

Two patients with refractory constipation in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Subei People′s Hospital were treated with laparoscopic NOSES Jinling procedure in the year of 2016.

Results

Two patients were successfully implemented NOSES Jinling procedure, the operation time was 250 min and 385 min (with time of release complex intestinal adhesion), and the intraoperative bleeding was 20 ml and 50 ml respectively. The patients had exhaust and defecation 2~3 days after the operation, then feed fluid and discharged with no complications ten days after the operation with the stabilized stool frequency of 2~5 times per day.

Conclusion

The treatment of refractory constipation with laparoscopic NOSES Jinling procedure has obvious cosmetic effect, less trauma, faster recovery, and obvious relief of constipation symptoms, which is worthy of further clinical research and development.
