Causes analysis of stenosis and intestinal obstruction after colostomy operation

Abstract:

Objective

To explore the causes of intestinal obstruction and preventive measures after colostomy operation.

Methods

To retrospective analysis of 27 patient's clinical history and the fistula angiography image data, who had postoperative stenosis and intestinal obstruction, and to analysis the causes of postoperative stenosis and intestinal obstruction.

Results

Of the 27 patients, 16 cases with narrow fistula exports, 11 cases with fistula lumen stenosis; Among them, 21 cases with postoperative fistula infection, 4 cases with hemorrhage, 1 case with fistula retraction, 1 case with prolapse.

Conclusions

Stenosis and intestinal obstruction after colostomy is mainly caused by postoperative local complications, timely observation and prevention is the key.
