Observation on postoperative analgesia effect of pudendal block for hemorrhoids operation

Abstract:

Objective

To observe postoperative analgesia effect of pudendal block for hemorrhoids operation.

Methods

A total of 60 patients with mixed hemorrhoid were divided into two groups: the observation group(n=30)and the control group(n=30), treatment for the two groups were same except pudendal nerves were blocked after Milligan-Morgan operation in observation group.The postoperative analgesia effect and complication were recorded.

Result

Compared with the control group, significantly less pain and lower rate of urinary retention were found in observation group in 24 hours after operation.Complications in observation group did not increase.

Conclusion

Thepudendal block for hemorrhoids operation is a safe, simple and effective treatment with good short-time analgesic effect.
