Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the expression of USP22 in colorectal carcinoma.

Methods

192 cases of colorectal carcinoma were examined by immunohistochemical staining.

Results

USP22 expression significantly increased from normal mucosa and adenoma to primary carcinoma(P<0.0001). And increased from primary carcinoma to liver metastasis(P=0.021)as well.Expression of USP22 was highly correlated with gender, tumor size, pT, pN, and Ki-67 expression(P<0.05).

Conclusion

USP22 protein could be useful in evaluating the malignancy of colorectal cancer.

Key words: Colorectal neoplasms, Metastasis, USP22
