Progression of treatments for colorectal liver metastasis

Abstract:

Liver is one of the most common organs for colorectal cancer distant metastasis, a correct and effective treatment applied in the regulation of liver metastasis could not only delay of disease progression but also extend the survival time, at the same time providing a better guarantee for the prognosis of patients with quality. Up to now, surgical resection still counts for the first selection for colorectal liver metastasis. With the continuous development of related technologies and the deep insights into this malignant biological behavior, new treatments are able to be practiced constantly, including radiotherapy, cryotherapy, radiofrequency and other approaches. Thus, multidisciplinary synthetic therapy will designate research direction for the treatment of colorectal liver metastasis.
