Analysis to the occupational stressor and influence factors of operation room nursesina cancer hospital of Beijing

Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the work stressor and its influence factors of operation room nurses in cancer hospital, to facilitate targeted for clinical intervention, ease the work pressure of nurses in operation room and promote physical and mental health.

Methods

Through convenience sampling in 2013 December to 2014 January in operation room, investigate 42 nurses in a cancer hospital of Beijing, use the general information scale and Chinese Nurses′ Work-Stressor Scale (CNSS) for data collection, age and each factor score via mean, standard deviation, analysis of horizontal stress source through Anova independent sample t test and single factor analysis, LSD test was used to analyze the difference of each standard of culture, title, and so on.

Results

The cancer hospital operation room nurses aged 32.90±10.18 years, total stress score was 543.36±267.50, the top 3 factor scores were: ″factor 6: related to workload″ score 10.43±5.34, ″factor 4: related to the work category″ score 10.15±5.23, ″factor 2:related to the family″ score 10.01±5.21. Permanent nurses and non-permanent nurses (F=8.84, P<0.05), different working time groups of nurses (F=2.70, P<0.05) and different monthly income of nurses (F=2.90, P<0.05) have significant differences between groups. The operation room nurses in cancer hospitals have occupational stressor significantly, mainly from the ″ related to workload ″, ″related to the work category″, ″related to family″. ″whether permanent nurses″, ″working time″, ″monthly income″ affect the occupational stressor of operation room nurses in cancer hospital.

Conclusion

According to the factors of work load, the work category and the family aspect, through scientific clinical nursing management to reduce the nurse overtime, increase revenue, reduce occupational stressor constantly, promote physical and mental health of nurses in operation room.
