Abstract:

Enterostomy plays an important role in the treatment of some intestinal benign and malignant diseases. Good stoma function is conducive to the recovery of the patient's normal life. However, when stoma related complications occur, patients' physical and mental health and social functions will inevitably be affected. Here, we report a case of laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer, resection of liver metastases and prophylactic end loop ileostomy with early complication of abdominal wall wound dehiscence near ileostomy, which led to a part of intestinal prolapse through the stoma and secondary surgical treatment. Combined with the review of relevant literature, we discuss the risk factors and prevention and treatment principles of this kind of complications related to stoma, in order to improve the surgeon's understanding of such complications.
