Abstract:

Peritoneal metastasis is the advanced stage of the tumor and the prognosis is poor. Cytoreductive surgery with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS+HIPEC) can significantly improve the prognosis of patients. The prognosis of patients is often related to the severity of peritoneal disease and the degree of tumor cell depletion in CRS. There are various scoring systems to reasonably assess the peritoneal tumor burden before and during operation. This article reviews the scoring systems in the diagnosis and treatment of peritoneal metastatic cancer.
