Single-incision plus one port complete laparoscopic surgery in right hemicolectomy

Abstract:

A patient underwent single-incision plus one port complete laparoscopic surgery in right hemicolectomy on Jan 5th, 2022 in the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. The operation was uneventful. Complete mesocolic excision (CME) was achieved. The operation time was 200 min and the intraoperative blood loss was about 50 mL. Postoperative pathology showed mucous adenocarcinoma, pT4aN0M0, stage ⅡB. The postoperative recovery was satisfactory with minimal the postoperative pain. No complication occurred during hospitalization. The patient ambulated on the 1st day, had a liquid diet on the 2nd day, and discharged from the hospital on the 6th day. In conclusion, single-incision plus one port complete laparoscopic surgery is feasible and safe in right hemicolectomy.
