Abstract:

Objective

To explore the feasibility and experience of modified natural orifice specimen extraction surgery(NOSES) I radical resection of low rectal cancer.

Methods

The clinical and pathological data and surgical methods of 6 patients undergoing modified NOSES Ⅰ were retrospectively analyzed.

Results

All the 6 patients underwent modified NOSES Ⅰ, and the operation was carried out successfully. The postoperative recovery was good, and there was no death or recurrence during follow-up.

Conclusion

The improved NOSES Ⅰ surgical method is feasible for the patients who meet the requirements. It has the advantages of clear lower margin, reducing the distal margin, and making it easier to be sterile and tumor-free, so it can be applied in the patients who meet the requirements.
