To evaluate the effect and feasibility of Shouhui Tongbian Capsule in preoperative bowel preparation for patients with right colon cancer.

The clinical data of patients with right colon cancer who were treated in National Cancer Center from July 2018 to October 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. 262 patients with right colon cancer were divided into study group and control group, the Shouhui Tongbian Capsule group (130 cases), who received Shouhui Tongbian Capsule for preoperative bowel preparation, and the control group (132 cases), who were given compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder for preoperative bowel cleaning. The differences of preoperative intestinal preparation tolerance score, intraoperative intestinal cleaning score, adverse reactions, postoperative complications, hepatic and renal function, electrolytes between the two groups were analyzed.

There were no significant differences in cleaning score, incidence of postoperative complications, hepatic and renal function, and electrolytes between the two groups (all P＞0.05), but the study group had better tolerance in preoperative intestinal preparation (χ²=12.405，P＜0.001) and lower adverse reactions (χ²=15.732，P＜0.001).

Shouhui Tongbian Capsule has good safety and tolerance in preoperative bowel preparation for right colon cancer patients, and does not increase the incidence of postoperative infection and other complications.
