Abstract:
Objective To analyze the incidence and death of colorectal cancer in tumor registration areas in Heilongjiang province.
Methods Data on morbidity, mortality and population were collected from 12 tumor registries in Heilongjiang province. The incidence, mortality, age-standardized rate of China, age-standardized rate of world, cumulative rate and annual percentage change of colorectal cancer were calculated by urban and rural, sex and age groups respectively.
Results From 2013 to 2017, the incidence of colorectal cancer was 28.81/100 000, age-standardized rate of China was 16.45/100 000, and cumulative rate (0~74 years old) was 1.93% in tumor registration areas in Heilongjiang. The incidence of colorectal cancer in males was 34.73/100 000 and age-standardized rate of China was 20.59/100 000, higher than that in females (22.99/100 000) and age-standardized rate of China was 12.68/100 000. The mortality rate of colorectal cancer was 14.88/100 000, age-standardized rate of China was 8.16/100 000, and the cumulative rate (0~74 years old) was 0.82%. The mortality rate of male colorectal cancer was 17.39/100 000 and the age-standardized rate of China was 10.03/100 000, higher than that of female colorectal cancer (12.41/100 000) and the age-standardized rate of China (11.00/100 000). The incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer in urban areas (33.56/100 000, 17.38/100 000) were higher than in rural areas (16.91/100 000, 8.78/100 000). From 2013 to 2017, the incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer in the tumor registration area of Heilongjiang showed an increasing trend (APC=9.00%, 8.90%, P<0.05).
Conclusion The incidence and death of colorectal cancer are still at a high level , and the prevention and treatment work is still urgent in Heilongjiang province.
