Construction and implementation of information systems for nurses hierarchical assessment in cancer hospital

Objective

To construct and apply the information system to the nurses′ theory hierarchical assessment.

Methods

The information system of the hospital was used to construct an information system for the theoretical assessment of nurses, including general knowledge of nursing and knowledge of oncology nursing. The information system for the theoretical assessment of nurses was formed and applied to the hierarchical assessment of nurses in accordance with the principle of increasing test difficulty corespongding to hierarchies respectively.

Results

The application of the information system is convenient. After using the information system, the preparation time for the examination, the data statistics of examination, the time of marking the test paper, the economic expenditures and the satisfaction of the nurses regarding the ways of examination are much better than those before using the information system, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application of the information system achieves good effect. The information system not only realizes the informatization of assessment of nurses, making the examination more scientific and standardlized, but also reduce the cost and effective for management.
