Abstract:
Objective To improve the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of this disease by the report of this case.
Methods On our hospital pathologically confirmed cases of right hemicolon myofibroblastic tumor in 1 case, combined with the patients clinical data and relevant literature reports were retrospectively analyzed.
Results The elderly woman patient?s clinical manifestations is abdominal mass, with no other specific manifestations, so the diagnosis is difficult. IMT occurs in children and adolescents, common involved organs is the lung, right-sided colitis myofibroblastic tumor in clinical rare.
Conclusions The Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor is a low-grade, with low incidence rate, clinical manifestations of atypical and no specific neuroimaging, so it is easy to be misdiagnosed, and it?s final diagnosis still depends on pathology and immunohistochemistry. Surgery is the effective treatment method. Because of the tendency of recurrence, postoperative follow-up is important.
