The role of comfort nursing care on the elderly colorectal cancer patients with pneumonia

Objective

To explore clinical effects of comfort nursing care on elderly colorectal cancer patients with pneumonia.

Methods

We retrospective analyzed 110 cases of colorectal cancer patients with pneumonia, 58 patients were treared with traditional nursing care, while 52 patients were treated with traditional nursing care in combination with comfort nursing care.

Results

The total response rate of traditional nursing care in combination with comfort care group was higher than traditional nursing care group. Both patients? satisfaction and duration in hospital of comfort nursing care were superior to traditional nursing care group.

Conclusions

Comfort nursing care can significantly improve treatment effects and quality of life for elderly pneumonia patients with increased satisfaction.
