This is the fourth edition of Japanese society for cancer of the colon and rectum guidelines(JSCCR Guidelines)since 2005, 2009 and 2010.The renewed parts of this 2014 JSCCR Guidelines contain 1.Wider indication of endoscopic submucosal dissection in the treatment of colorectal cancer(CRC); 2.Trans-anal endoscopic microsurgery can be applied to the person who is unable or unwilling to accept the colostomy operation of rectal cancer; 3.Single hole laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery is commended for treatment of CRC; 4.More aggressive treatment for stageⅣCRC.This guideline has been published for ten years.It not only standardized treatment of colorectal cancer in japan, but also had an important role in improving the survival and quality of life of patients with CRC.
