Abstract

Abstract:

Objective

To explore the expression of IL-6 in rat colon tissue with ulcerative colitis.

Methods

Thirty SD rats were randomly divided into control group(10 rats)and model group(20 rats). The model group were induced by trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid and ethanol.The expression of IL-6 in colonic mucosa in two groups were measured with ELISA.

Results

The level of IL-6 was significantly higher in UC group than the controls.

Conclusion

IL-6 is closely related with UC and play an important role in the inflammatory progress of this disease.
