Clinical experience of single incision laparoscopic anterior resection

Abstract:

Objective

To describe the safety and efficacy of single incision laparoscopic anterior resection with conventional laparoscopic instruments.

Methods

In this study, we report our experience with 3 patients who underwent single incision laparoscopic anterior resection between March to May in 2010.

Results

The mean surgical time is 155 min. The mean blood loss of the operation is 50~100ml.There is no evidence of recurrence after 2 years follow-up.

Conclusion

Single incision laparoscopic anterior resection is feasible and safe with conventional laparoscopic instruments.
