Abstract:

To promote the standardized and safe implementation of day surgery for colorectal cancer in China, the Colorectal Cancer Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association and other organizations convened experts to develop this consensus by integrating domestic and international literature and clinical practice. The consensus was developed in accordance with international standards for guideline development and the GRADE evidence grading methodology, and recommendations were formulated through expert discussion, covering the definition of day surgery, team and ward development, patient selection, perioperative management, discharge criteria, and post-discharge follow-up. The consensus emphasizes that day surgery for colorectal cancer should be carried out under strict patient selection, standardized procedures, and multidisciplinary collaboration, so as to ensure the quality of care and patient safety and to provide a reference for relevant healthcare institutions.
