Abstract:

Enhanced recovery after surgery is an advanced concept that optimizes the perioperative period, including a series of measures to promote postoperative recovery, reduce surgical stress and complications, shorten the length of stay, and reduce the cost of hospitalization. The ERAS concept is rapidly emerging at home and abroad and has been widely used in many kinds of diseases. However, the prevalence of ERAS is still very low, and the lack of literature is reported in the literature, which may be related to the lack of understanding of the concept of surgeons and patients. This article will review the progress of ERAS, and further analyze the application prospect of ERAS in colorectal cancer and its significance. It will provide a reference for the application of ERAS in colorectal cancer surgery, and provide a theoretical basis for the improvement of ERAS and provide more information for patients with colorectal cancer.
