Abstract:

In recent years, the incidence of constipation was increasing. However, the etiology and pathogenesis of slow transit constipation were not clear. Although internal medicine can temporarily alleviate the symptoms of slow transit constipation, it can not fundamentally solve the problem. Surgery may be the final and effective method for the treatment of slow transit constipation. Till now, the main operation methods for the treatment of slow transit constipation were total colon excision and ileorectal anastomosis, subtotal colectomy and appendix rectal anastomosis, selective colonic transaction and indwelling, terminal ileostomy, etc. This paper mainly introduced the operation methods and its curative effect.
