Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the feasibility of Da Vinci Xi robotic single-incision plus one port laparoscopic surgery in right hemicolectomy.

Methods

One case of Da Vinci Xi robotic single-incision plus one port laparoscopic right hemicolectomy was successfully performed on February 1, 2021 in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University.

Results

The operation was successful, no peripheral organ injury, no blood transfusion, and the mesorectum of specimen was intact. The operation time was 405 mins and the intraoperative blood loss was about 30 mL. Postoperative pathology showed moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma (right colon), pT4aN0M0, TNM stage IIB. The postoperative rehabilitation effect was satisfactory, no complications occurred during hospitalization, and the postoperative pain was lighter. The patient ambulated on the first day after the operation, and discharged from the hospital when the catheter was removed on the 7th day.

Conclusion

Da Vinci Xi robot single-incision plus one port laparoscopic surgery is feasible in right hemicolectomy, and has more advantages than traditional single port laparoscopy.
