Research progress of ligation for hemorrhoids

Abstract:

Hemorrhoids is the most common anorectal disease, it can be divided into internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids. There are many treatment methods for hemorrhoids. It’s limited to use conservative treatment and mainly applies to Ⅰ degree and Ⅱ degree internal hemorrhoids. So surgical treatment is the majority of choice for hemorrhoids. Ligation has a long history in the treatment of hemorrhoids, and the efficacy of accurate. Many improved techniques derived from ligation, as a classical treatment method of hemorrhoids, are also widely used in clinical practicearious. It mainly includes external stripping and internal ligation, segmented ligation, high hanging and low cutting, automatic ligation of hemorrhoids (RPH), ligasure hemorrhoidectomy under doppler ultrasound localization, superior rectal artery embolization, etc. Its progress in recent years is summarized as follows.
