Abstract:

The prevention and control of infectious diseases is vital to human survival. In ancient China, where medical technology was backward, the epidemic was so widespread that it had serious consequences. The rulers of ancient China enacted laws to prevent epidemics by protecting public environment, establishing epidemic response mechanism and forming epidemic early warning mechanism. In ancient times, China legislated on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases by establishing the quarantine and epidemic prevention law, dispatching medical officers to make rounds of diagnosis and treatment, and burying dead bodies strictly. Seeking the Wisdom of Ancients, the gain and loss of ancient infectious disease legislation can provide inspiration and reference for our modern society. The emphasis on environmental health and personal protection and the importance of government governance measures can give us enlightenment on the prevention and treatment of sudden infectious diseases.
