Research about the effect of positively psychology intervention on the sleep quality of patients who treated by enterostomy

Objective

This study is to investigate the sleep quality of patients after enterostomy and the effect of positive psychological intervention on sleep quality.

Methods

140 cases who were treated by enterostomy between January 2016 to December 2017 are collected and randomly divided into observation group and control group. The observation group was given positively psychological intervention and the normal control group was given normal psychological nursing.

Results

The investigation shows that the multiple sleep factors could be significantly improved by active positively psychological intervention compared with normal psychological nursing (P<0.001), mainly in aspects of sleep latency (t=-14.107, P=0.000), hypnotic (t=-6.115, P=0.000), daytime dysfunction (t=-8.317, P=0.000).

Conclusion

Positive psychological intervention can significantly improve the sleep quality of the patients who treated by enterostomy.
