Delayed rectal anastomotic leakage associated with bevacizumab therapy: a case report

Abstract:

Bevacizumab is an anti vascular endothelial growth factor monoclonal antibody and commonly used in the clinical treatment of recurrent or metastatic colorectal cancer. Anastomotic complications are occasionally reported during the treatment. This report is a case of delayed type anastomotic leakage related to bevacizumab during the treatment of rectal cancer in the Gastrointestinal Surgery Center of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and the literature was reviewed.
