New progress in the dagnosis and treatment of the sacral pilonidal sinus

Abstract:

Pilonidal sinus is a rare skin containing hair sinus in China, whose incidence rate has obvious upward in the recent years. Based on the review of pilonidal sinus, epidemiological data, pathogenesis, pathological features and clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment are summarized in detail in this paper, thus facilitating a better understanding and treatment of pilonidal sinus.
