The application of abdominal external impressing with butterfly tape in the treatment of postoperative disruption of incision with intestinal fistula

Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the causes of postoperative disruption of incision with intestinal fistula and the therapeutic effect of the external abdominal impressing with butterfly tape.

Methods

The clinical data of 5 patients with disruption of incision and intestinal fistula after operation in The Second People′s Hospital of Dezhou City from 2005 to 2015 were analyzed retrospectively.

Results

By routine treatment and abdominal external impressing with butterfly tape, 4 cases were cured, 1 case was not healed.

Conclusion

The disruption of incision with intestinal fistula is a rare and serious complication, focusing on etiological prevention. Once occured, based on the conventional treatment, the abdominal external impressing with butterfly tape can shorten the treatment time.
