Clinical analysis of water exchange colonoscopy combined with carbon dioxide gas injection for colonoscopy

Abstract:

Objective

To explore the effect and safety of water exchange colonoscopy and carbon dioxide gas pump for colonoscopy diagnosis and treatment.

Methods

600 cases of patients with colonoscopy were randomized divided into 2 groups, gas injection group (control group) and water exchange colonoscopy plus carbon dioxide pump group (observation group), 300 cases in each group; to observe the analgesic effects of two groups of patients, the time and adverse reactions.

Results

The analgesic effect in the observation group was better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the HR, BP, SpO2 and the control group were significantly different (P>0.05).

Conclusions

Water exchange colonoscopy diagnosis and treatment can shorten the time of colonoscopy, reduce the suffering of patients, the analgesic effect, which is safe, effective and easy to operate; combined with carbon dioxide pump is better.
