Total pelvic exenteration for advanced colorectal cancer with reconstruction deserves more attentiveness

Abstract

Abstract:

Total pelvic exenteration(TPE)as a radical operation is significant in treating the patient with recurrent and advanced rectal cancer, however, it is not generally undertaken in domestic hospitals.This article will introduce the development of TPE and the status quo of clinical application.Besides, the treatment criteria and operative points will be expounded to guide our clinical practice.
